Brian Johnson's Obituary
Early in the morning of March 17th, Brian Johnson died of respiratory failure due to pneumonia, while being cared for at Marin General Hospital, CA. He was 64.
Brian was born in Sacramento, California, to Bob and Louise Johnson. Brian graduated from High School in Marin County, California, after spending some time in private schools in Germany. Being the youngest of five at a time of considerable family turmoil, Brian had a difficult childhood, the effects of which he carried with him into later life. He was eventually diagnosed with a seizure disorder, and related emotional problems.
The seizure disorder however, qualified Brian for acceptance into the California Regional Center program, which supports and provides services for individuals having a number of developmental disabilities. In his early years Brian lived in a succession of group homes funded by the Center, and the Center eventually helped him obtain his own apartment, and provided the funds and services that allowed him to live independently.
Brian was indeed fiercely independent! At a young age, Brian followed his father in missionary work in Europe. In America he continued their work until his death. He studied Botany for many years and with that knowledge, was able to help many others to live a healthier and more natural lifestyle, and in the process gathered many followers on social media. His passion was always to help both body and soul, and was sought after by people who requested his his natural remedies and his original prayers, giving great comfort to those ill or hurting.
Brian is preceded in death by his older brothers Kenneth and David, and is survived by his oldest brother Robert, older brother Steve and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Also sharing in grief at Brian's death is his longtime friend and caregiver, Candi Winiger and her husband, and very good friend, Roberta Durley.
May you rest in peace now Brian, ... you are greatly missed!
