Brian Everett Malone, a devoted father, loving grandfather, cherished brother, and unforgettable presence, passed away on December 15, 2025, at an age he would almost certainly have preferred to keep to himself. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Brian was known for his loyalty and a natural charm that made it easy to connect with others and lift the weight in a room. Even when life felt complicated or heavy, he created space for laughter, storytelling, and belief. Negativity and despair did not disappear around him, but they loosened their grip, if only for a while.
A free spirit by nature, Brian earned and maintained his pilot's license, reflecting his love for freedom, motion, and adventure. He felt most at ease near the water, especially while boating. He was drawn to the ocean, the sky, and places where the horizon met the sublime, where conversations stretched, stories grew, and people felt part of something larger than themselves and the moment at hand.
He will be remembered for his presence, his generosity, and the way people felt lighter, more hopeful, and more alive in his company.
Brian is survived by his daughter Jenna Rudolph (and her husband Jamie Rudolph); his son Nicholas Malone (and his wife Amanda Malone); and his two grandchildren Arrow Thompson and Havyn Akamine-Thompson.
He is also survived by his siblings: Donald Malone, Leo Malone, Kevin Malone, Candy Malone-Stewart (and her husband Jimmy Stewart), Jeffrey Malone, Kathy Malone-Ashley (and her husband Michael Ashley), and Ann Brown (and her husband Scot Brown). He had many nieces and nephews who he cherished.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald T. Malone and Margaret E. Malone (Dooley).
A memorial service will be held for family and friends. His cremated remains will be placed at Better Place Forest in Coulterville, California
