Brook Luree McAllister

Brook Luree McAllister, 47, of Mendenhall, Mississippi, passed away on February 24, 2026.

Brook was born on November 30, 1978, in Jackson, Mississippi. She was a woman with a truly beautiful heart — caring, forgiving, and full of love. When Brook loved, she loved deeply and without limits. She would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need, even if it meant going without herself. Her kindness was not just spoken — it was lived.

She had a joyful spirit and loved to laugh. Above all, Brook cherished her family. Nothing brought her more happiness than spending time with her children and her grandbabies. Her love for them was fierce and unwavering. Whether gathered for simple moments or special occasions, she treasured every minute surrounded by those she loved most.

Brook had a unique and gentle soul, and one of her favorite hobbies was collecting mushroom trinkets— something that reflected her appreciation for the small, beautiful details in life.

She is survived by her grandmother, Patricia Whittington; mother, Karen Reynolds; her father, Ricky Barnett; her sister, Jessica Crowder; her sister, Sasha Wicker; her brother, Ricky Barnett Jr (Bubba) and his wife Rachel Barnett; her daughter, Melissa McGee and her husband Isaiah McGee; her son, Tristen McAllister and his girlfriend Lexi Shanks; and her four cherished grandchildren, Emerson, Jason, Makaelynn, Karter; 4 nieces and 11 nephews; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Brook’s love will continue to live on through each of them. Her memory will be carried in the laughter of her grandchildren, in the strength of her children, and in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
