Bruce F. Balliet, 80, of Whitehall, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 1, 2026. He was the widower of Eileen Balliet. Bruce was the son of the late William Balliet and Esther (Frantz) Erdman. A proud United States Navy Veteran, he served aboard the USS Atakapa (ATF-149) during the Vietnam War, honorably completing two years of service.
Known affectionately to his family as Gappy, he brought joy and laughter to all who knew him and cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. He also loved hunting and fishing, both of which he enjoyed sharing with family and friends throughout his life.
Bruce is lovingly remembered by daughter, Sheleen (Balliet) Moyer; grandchildren, Kayleen Armellino and husband Andrew, and Kolby Moyer; great-grandchildren, Lucas Armellino and Autumn Armellino; companion, Kathleen Gunther; stepmother, Grace Balliet; stepsister, LuAnn Donovan, as well as extended family. He was predeceased by daughter, Shannon Balliet and stepsister, Bonita Seko Schlabig.
