Bruce Alan Brookshear, age 59, of Lenoir City, TN, passed away at his home on March 11, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, devotion, and a heart that was always full for those he loved.
Born in Knoxville, TN, on October 2, 1966, to Cecil Von and Alma Sue Brookshear, Bruce grew up to be a man of gentle strength - someone who was as precise with his work as he was generous with his love. He dedicated his career to the craft of being a machinist and tool and die maker. Known for his sharp mathematical mind and an eye for the finest details, Bruce was the colleague everyone could count on. His reliability and problem-solving skills earned him the deep respect of those he worked alongside for many years.
While Bruce took pride in his work and his love for classic cars — especially his prized 1967 Chevrolet Camaro — his true calling was his family. Bruce didn't just love his people; he made sure they felt it. He was a man of "gentle strength" who never missed an opportunity to say "I love you" or to tell his family how proud he was of them. He was the one who reached out first, who checked in often, and whose presence made everyone feel truly seen and cared for.
Above all else, Bruce cherished his role as "Dad" and "Papaw." Whether he was watching his Tennessee Volunteers, listening to his favorite rock bands, working on his Camaro, or spending a quiet afternoon with his family, those moments were his greatest treasures.
Bruce is survived by his mother, Alma Sue Brookshear; his son, Micah Brookshear (Abby); his daughter, Tiffany White; and his three beloved grandchildren, August Brookshear, Kobe Kennedy, and Kaden White. He also leaves behind Kim Michelle Brookshear, with whom he shared most of his life and a lasting, meaningful bond. He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Von Brookshear, and his brother, Bradley Scott Brookshear.
His friends and family will remember him most for the way he moved through the world: with a loving heart that never stopped giving.
