Bruce Carter, age 74, passed into life eternal on July 26, 2024. He left behind a loving wife (of 54 & 1/2 years) Lynn & daughter Jennifer. Also survived by his step mother Peggy & half brother David (Thomas), many cousins & a couple of nieces & nephews.
Predeceased by father Gene & sister Bonnie Carter & mother Jean (Thomas).
Bruce's land surveying career started after graduating from Fort Lauderdale High School & he went on to open his own company in the mid 80's which he ran successfully until retiring in 2016.
Bruce was hard working, ambitious, intelligent, kind hearted, easy going & hysterically funny with a wicked sense of humor. He was the kind of guy everyone liked, especially those privileged to have known him well.
He was multi talented & could figure out how to fix anything, ever ready to lend a hand when called upon & even bring the tools!
An avid saltwater fisherman, Bruce also enjoyed boating, hunting, snow skiing, scuba diving, lobstering & travelling...most notably trips to Hawaii, Italy & Alaska and especially fun filled ski vacations with friends & family.
A bright light is gone from our lives yet will shine on in our hearts & memories.
Bruce & Dad, we will always love you.
