Bruce Edwin Casebeer passed away peacefully at his home in Corvallis Montana on January 29th 2026 at the age of 75. He is survived by his loving wife Karen, his two sons Benjamin and Erik (Trisha), his 1-year-old grandson Gus and a wonderful family.

He was born to his parents Eddie and Beverly in Chico, CA on April 23rd, 1950. His large family of seven brothers and sisters welcomed foster children into their home; acts of love and inclusivity have been passed down among later generations of Casebeers. His childhood was full of activities from Little League to Boy Scouts, fishing, hunting, golfing, poker, bowling and horseshoes. Rather than wait to get drafted, Bruce enlisted in the US Army in 1968 and served two tours of active duty in Vietnam as well as one tour in Germany. As a veteran of foreign wars, his acts of patriotism and selflessness were only matched by his willingness to do right by his friends and those he loved for the rest of his life.

After an honorable discharge from the Army, Bruce married Karen Grimes of Concord in 1973; while they would later remarry, they had an amicable divorce. He began a career in heavy duty trucks at Coast Counties selling parts. At this time he met Gloria Stark of Alameda. Together they moved to Casper Wyoming where he worked at Wyoming Peterbilt. Bruce & Gloria married in 1979 and later welcomed their first son, Benjamin in 1982. In 1983, they moved to Citrus Heights California where Bruce took a job as Sales Manager at FB Hart in Sacramento under the Volvo White brand. Their second son Erik was born in 1985.

In 1987 the family set up roots in Renton Washington as Bruce found the greatest success of his career as Sales Manager of Western Peterbilt on Seattle's Airport Way. His customers included many refuse & vocational operations for cities, counties and the private sector. Bruce was stalwart in his support of his customers with fair deals and unwavering advocacy. After leaving Peterbilt in 1996, he went back to work under the Volvo brand in western Washington before spearheading the introduction of the Caterpillar vocational truck to the Pacific market.

His second marriage to Karen began in 2018 after a chance re-introduction by his sister-in-law Cory. He moved to Corvallis, Montana where he would spend the rest of his life with Karen tending to the log home and hosting family visits. Bruce will be remembered as a very engaging and excellent story teller even in his later years, able to recall fond memories from decades past in his jovial and good-hearted nature.

His family encourages donations in his name to be made payable to the Bitterroot Health Hospice Foundation at 1200 Westwood Drive of Hamilton Montana. Their healthcare professionals were wonderful in their efforts to ease his passing.

Bruce's remains will be interred in a private ceremony in Butte Meadows, CA next to his parents on a quiet and beautiful bluff overlooking Mt. Shasta.
