Mr. Bruce Michael "Mike" Gantz, 74, passed away on February 1, 2026, in Fort Worth, Texas. Born on August 18, 1951, in Borger, Texas, Mike led a life defined by service and dedication.

He served his country with distinction as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. After his military service, Mike pursued a 43-year career in law enforcement. He began with the City of Arlington Police Department and later continued at DFW Airport, retiring as a Crime Scene Investigator. His commitment to justice and public safety left a lasting impact on his colleagues and the communities he served.

A man of deep faith, Mike was an active member of Western Heritage Cowboys Church in Irving, Texas. Even when health challenges kept him from attending in person, he remained devoted through online services and held his church family close to his heart.

Mike is lovingly remembered by his brother Bryan Gantz; daughter Meredith Foster and her husband Byron; sons Jeremy Patterson and Travis Gantz with his wife Kacey; grandsons Carson and Ryder Patterson; nephews Mike Gantz with his wife Jennifer and David Gantz with his wife Emily; and his bonus daughter Natalie Alemond. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Margaret Gantz; father Don Ronald Gantz; mother Carleen Gantz; and son Jason Patterson.

In his leisure time, Mike enjoyed riding his motorcycle and spending time with his cherished fur babies. Known for his generous spirit and loyalty, he was always ready to lend a helping hand.

A funeral service will be announced at a later date. He will be laid to rest at the national cemetery in Arlington, Texas.
