With profound sadness the family of Bruce David Lavoy announces his passing December 8, 2025, after a short, valiant fight against cancer.
Bruce, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, was born November 14, 1947, in Nashua, NH where he lived before moving to the Greater Concord area.
Bruce was a 1967 graduate of Concord High School and 1971 graduate of Graham Junior College in Boston majoring in Broadcasting.
With a lifelong passion for radio, Bruce worked many years at WKXL and the FM companion station, most recognized for covering NASCAR races in Loudon and countless local sports teams' matchups.
Bruce was an adored co-worker and volunteer. A people person whose sense of humor and ability to strike up a conversation with anyone left those he interacted with smiling.
Bruce was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years Angela (Murphy), his parents Alice Lavoy and Arthur Lavoy. He is survived by his son, Derek (Bridgett) Lavoy, his grandchildren Austin, Makenzie, Kyle, and Stephanie Lavoy and their families. Sister Nikki Lavoy-Holtgrewe, niece and nephews. Sister and brother-in-law Dale & David Rozek.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 31st at 11am/The Salvation Army at 58 Clinton St in Concord. The Family asks attendees to wear sports apparel to honor Bruce's lifelong love of sports.
