Burton Arthur Mousch, 92, of Old Saybrook, passed away unexpectedly March 4th, 2026. He was born on September 26th, 1933, in Guilford, CT. He is survived by his daughter, Anastasia Kozey and her husband Paul Kozey. His grandchildren, Danielle Ruszala, Richard Ruszala, and Hannah Kozey. Along with many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Elmer and Amy Mousch, his brother, Earl Mousch; his sister, Natalie Szydlo; his brother, Fredrick “Fred” Mousch and his sister Olive “toady” Jones. He served in the United States Army. Following his military service, he pursued his love of hair dressing. As a talented hairdresser, he opened Burton’s Hair Fashions in the early 1960’s in the 900 building in Old Saybrook. In October of 1969 he purchased 21 Main Street in Old Saybrook and moved Burton’s. He retired in 2019. He was extremely gifted in many ways. He loved drawing, playing the piano, and singing. Most of all, his love of ballroom dancing.

He was a longtime member of the Elks Club. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, March 15th at the Elks Club in Westbrook from 12:00 – 4:00.
