Byron D. Easley

Byron DeWitt Easley was born on September 7, 1954 to the late Andrew and Rubye Easley.
Byron was a 1973 graduate of Roosevelt High School, Gary, Indiana and held numerous jobs throughout the Gary, Indiana and Chicago Heights, Illinois area. He was a dedicated employee until he became fully disabled in 2008.
Byron was baptized at an early age and became a faithful and dedicated member of St. Monica & Luke in Gary, Indiana for over 61 years. Byron served on the SS Monica & Luke Usher Board, Men's Club and was a dedicated volunteer for the Soup Kitchen.
Byron departed this life on October 1, 2025 at 5:30am and leaves a life that will be greatly missed.
Byron leaves to cherish his memory, one loving and devoted sister, Portia Hoyle of Peoria, IL; three nieces, BeLinda Nichols of San Francisco, CA; Elexis and Kimberly Hoyle of Peoria, IL; three nephews, Michael and Anthony Nichols both of Austin, TX and Andre Hoyle of Pekin, IL; four Uncles, Will and LeVon Ulmer, Detroit, MI; Larry Ulmer of Atlanta, GA and Howard Roberts of Meridian, MS; two Aunts, Shelly Staley of Florala, AL and Bettie Roberts of Detroit, MI.
Preceding him in death are his parents, one sister, Johnnie Lee (Easley) Nichols and numerous Aunts, Uncles and cousins. He also leaves special friends and family, Clarence Joyce, Susxex, Michael, Diane, and Sierra Porter, Dr. Enid P. Wells, and Iris Crowder, and a host of other relatives and friends too numerous to name who will miss him dearly.
