Calvin V. Lyons Sr.

Calvin's greatest treasures were his loved ones. He loved his family deeply. On Friday February 20,2026 Calvin passed away. He was preceded in death by his parents Leroy Lyons and Opal Lyons, his sister Bridgett Lyons, his brothers Leroy Lyons III and Antonio Lyons, and stepbrother Michael Marks. As he has transitioned, he leaves to cherish his memories, his only daughter Catrese Lyons- Hampton (Rico), and his only son Calvin Lyons Jr. who he loved dearly. He is also survived by his 6 grandchildren, 3 granddaughters Carlissa, Caliyah, and Caelyn; 3 grandsons Darnell, Jaylyn, and Damarcus; 4 great grandchildren Camia, Jameson, Zyire, and Jasiah, his fiancé Bonita Harris, his aunts Lynette (Michael), Althea, Barbara Jean (Leon), Lucille, brother Timothy Lyons; and stepbrothers Jimmy Marks and Rudy Brown, sisters Gail Lyons, Shawna Lyons, Diane Marks and a host of Cousins of his (Lyons and Bailey ) family to cherish him as well. Visitation Saturday, February 28,2025 from 9:00 a.m.- 11:00 a.m. with funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. All services at the Guy & Allen Chapel 2959 west 11th Avenue Gary, Indiana 46404. Interment Oak Hill Cemetery.
