Carl C (Bud) Allison Jr., age 81, passed away on February 24, 2026 surrounded by his family.
Carl was born on May 26, 1944, in Newport, Rhode Island, to Carl and Jean Allison. He grew up in Edinburg, Indiana, where he developed the strong work ethic and steady character that would define his life.
He proudly served his country as a United States Marine during the Vietnam War. His commitment to service did not end with his military service; it shaped the way he lived every day — devoted to his family, his community, and his country.
On April 14, 1973, he married the love of his life, Rosemary. Together, they built a life rooted in faith, hard work, and deep love. Their journey took them throughout the Midwest, where Carl worked as a plant manager in the agriculture industry. Eventually, they settled in Springfield, Missouri, where they raised their son, Bradley.
Carl was an active volunteer, generously giving his time to the Boy Scouts and the University of Missouri Extension. He believed in investing in young people and strengthening his community. He and Rosemary shared a love of travel and adventure, especially trips to Disney, creating lasting memories with family along the way.
Carl is survived by his wife, Rosemary; his son, Bradley (Rachael); his sister, Mary Jane (Scotty); his brother, John (Diane), and his grandchildren, Noah, Abby, and Maggie. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Rita Keefe.
Carl will be remembered for his servant’s heart, leadership, and unwavering love for his family. His legacy of service, integrity, and devotion will live on in all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life honoring Carl will be held on April 11th, 2026 from 1:00–3:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Church in Springfield, MO. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend, share memories, and celebrate the life he lived and the legacy he leaves behind.
