Carl Joseph "Joe" Salminen, age 63, passed away on October 14, 2025, in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Born on August 1, 1962, in Denver, Colorado, Joe spent his life rooted in the state he loved.
Joe was known for his ever-present smile and generous spirit. He was the kind of person who never hesitated to lend a hand to a friend in need. His warmth and kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew him. Whether sharing a laugh or offering support during difficult times, Joe's presence brought comfort and joy.
He took great pride in his work and approached every task with dedication and integrity. Outside of work, Joe found joy in the simple pleasures of life—especially Frisbee Golf, a pastime he truly loved. His enthusiasm for the game reflected his appreciation for nature, camaraderie, and friendly competition.
Family meant everything to Joe. He is lovingly remembered by his sisters Cathleen Hunsaker and Pattie Hill; his nephews Nathaniel Hunsaker, Alexander Hunsaker, Ryan Hill, Daniel Salminen, and Jonathan Salminen; and his nieces Cloie Salminen and Lori Salminen. His deep bond with his family was evident in the time he spent with them and the care he showed throughout his life.
Joe was preceded in death by his mother Carole Dybevik, father Dan Salminen, and brother Eric Salminen.
He will be deeply missed by his many friends and especially by his sisters. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire kindness in others.
