Carl Williams, son of Daniel and Caldonia Murphy, was born in Dallas, Texas. He grew up in Fort Worth and moved to Austin in 1963, where he graduated from Del Valle High School. There he met the love of his life, Jennifer F. Alexander. They were married in March 1969 and soon after began their family.
Carl proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, receiving military honors and citations. Following his service, he built a successful career managing Rykim Trucking Company—named for his children—and co-owning Windstar Sales Tupperware with Jennifer.
A man of deep faith, Carl was an active member of St. James Missionary Baptist Church, where his love of Jesus Christ guided his life and strengthened his walk.
He is survived by his children, Ryan and Kimberly Williams; grandchildren, Bryanna, Jazra, Tony (Teresa) and Jaxson Williams (Jessica); sister, Brenda Mitchell; great-grandchild, Keith Wayne Hargraves, Jr.; nephews, Phillip Williams and Jason Mitchell; great-nephew, Jashaun Mitchell and a host of other loving family and friends.
Funeral arrangements are under the care of King-Tears Mortuary and are scheduled for January 31, 2026 at St James Missionary Baptist Church located at 3417 E. Martin Luther King Jr Blvd. in Austin, Texas. The Viewing will be at 10am, followed by the funeral services at 11am. The Interment will take place at the Alexander Family Cemetery in the 5700 Block of U.S. Hwy 183 South. He will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife, Jennifer.
