The beloved Carmen Rose-Roslyn Shell was born on March 7, 1942 and passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, December 21, 2025 at her home in Gaithersburg Maryland. She was born the youngest child of three siblings to the late Harold L. and Lina R. Reynolds. She is preceded in death by her brother, Harold L. Reynolds Jr., and her sister, Janice Irene Smith.
Carmen is survived by her three daughters, Grace Shell, Renee (Robby) Pumphrey, Lisa (Daniel) Sawyer; five grandchildren: Marcus, Brittany, Asia, Myles, and Kayla. Lastly, she leaves behind wonderful nieces, Deirdre (Bobby Joe) Reynolds Jones and Kierstin Reynolds-Beavers, nephews, Daryl Smith and David Smith, cousins, and friends. They will all miss her but know that she has lived a full and valued life.
A memorial service will be held on January 23, 2026 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church located at 608 North Horners Lane in Rockville, MD, 20850. Family visitation will start at 10:00 a.m. and the memorial service will commence promptly at 11:00am.
