Carol Jean (Kohtz) Farr passed away on December 27, 2025, from complications of a very aggressive cancer at the age of 84.
Born November 22, 1941, Carol was the first of nine children born to Stanley Marvin Kohtz and Dorothy Jean (Fay) Kohtz. Carol was born in Oklahoma but grew up in Bradshaw, Nebraska. Her family moved to Westminster, Colorado when she was a junior in high School. She finished high school and graduated from Westminster High School.
She married Warren Richard Tracy and had one son, Richard Scott Tracy, in 1959.
Carol worked for Mountain Bell/US West for much of her career in various business roles. She was always involved with organizations that provided service to others, including Boy Scouts of America, Soapbox Derby, Sertoma, and her Church. She was one of those people you could count on helping in organizations that had a mission to help other people.
Carol was preceded in death by her father and mother; her brother, Ned Kohtz; her sister, Linda (Kohtz) Hagedorn; and her brothers-in-law, Richard Romero and David Pando.
Carol is survived by her son, R. Scott Tracy (Annette Hogan-Tracy); granddaughter, Olivia Tracy; and grandson, Griffen Tracy. She is also survived by her sisters, Mary (Bob) Shively, Beth Pando, Jeanie Romero, and Pam (Chris) Dorton; her brothers, Neal (Debbie) Kohtz and Keith (Tanya) Kohtz; her brother-in-law, Glen Hagedorn; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Atonement Lutheran Church, 6281 West Yale Avenue, Lakewood Colorado, 80227 on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at 1:00 PM.
