Carol Gomez

Carol Gomez was born on December 17, 1947, and passed away peacefully on January 28, 2026. She was a fighter to the very end. The most important things in her life were her family and her faith.
Carol had a rare gift for helping the underdogs and could crack a joke in just about any circumstance. Even in difficult moments, she found humor and used it to put others at ease.
Her faith was a steady anchor throughout her life. One of her favorite passages was Psalm 91: "He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge." That promise brought her comfort and continues to bring comfort to those who love her.
Carol is survived by her loving husband, Mike; her daughters, Misty, Donyell, and Lacy; her son, Darrick; and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy. She was preceded in death by her son, Mark.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Laughlin. Her ashes will be spread in Tehachapi, where she spent some of her best years and made her fondest memories.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to hospice and the caregivers who cared for Carol with compassion and love and who became like family during her final days.
