Carol Lawson, aged 77, passed away on May 6th, 2024, in Port Orchard, Washington. Born in Wellington, Ontario, on December 8th, 1946, she was the daughter of James and Beatrice Lawson. Carol held a Master's of Divinity degree and was the mother of two boys, Ian and Jake Witucki.
Carol was a successful writer, a trained psychologist, taught Comparative Religion at a community college, was a Hospital Chaplain, and worked in Annuities Sales. She enjoyed nature and, in her later years, lived the nomadic lifestyle, traveling all over the US in her camper-van. There was something about the landscape of Arizona that spoke to her deeply, and she spent a lot of time there.
Carol was a philosopher. She was curious about the human spirit. She enjoyed deep, meaningful conversations, writing, and spending time in nature.
A small service was held with family members, and her ashes were scattered in the Puget Sound.
She is survived by her sons Ian and Jake, and sister Wendy.
