Carol Burket Miller passed away peacefully at home on December 6, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was 90 years old.
Born on February 10, 1935, in Pennsylvania, Carol was a woman of deep creativity, warmth, and quiet strength. At the age of 19, she met her future husband while attending art school—an encounter that marked the beginning of a life rooted in love, family, and art. Together, they raised three children and eventually made their home in Wilton, Connecticut.
Carol was a gifted fashion illustrator, artist, and musician, whose creative eye and dedication left a lasting impact on those she taught and worked with. After the passing of her husband at a young age, Carol found a new passion teaching art to young children.
She is survived by her sister, Joan Cercone; her children, Kim Miller Franz, Mark Miller, and Jon Miller; her grandchildren, Alex Miller, Jack Miller, Henry Miller, John Franz, and Jennie Franz; and her great-granddaughter, Violet Naring.
Carol will be remembered for her nurturing presence, her devotion to family, and the love, humor, and creativity she shared with those around her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on December 28, 2025, from 12:00–4:00 PM at 90 Garfield Avenue, Danbury, CT 06810.
