In Loving Memory of Carol A. Rowbotham (Schwegmann)
Carol Ann Rowbotham passed away peacefully on January 12, 2026, in Zephyrhills, Florida, at the age of 82.
Born on March 22, 1943, in Missouri, Carol lived a life marked by quiet strength and unwavering resolve. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard L. Rowbotham, who preceded her in death in 2013, a steadfast mother to Rebecca Gamble (Perry), Susan Rose (Kevin), and Jennifer Oswald (Joseph), and a proud grandmother to Jack, Madison, Dalton, Abby, Ben, and Billy.
A woman of remarkable creativity and craftsmanship, Carol expressed her love through the art of cross-stitching—a passion she pursued for many years. Her home was adorned with framed pieces that bore witness to her patience and imagination. Beyond needlework, she brought passion and skill into countless other artful projects that reflected her ingenuity and attention to detail.
Carol had an innate ability to solve problems with determination and grace. Known affectionately as an all-around “Mrs. Fixit,” she approached every task with calm resourcefulness.
Her backyard garden served as both sanctuary and canvas—a place where she cultivated beauty from the earth with gentle hands and a nurturing spirit. Whether tending to plants and flowers or simply enjoying the view from her back porch, Carol found joy in nature's peaceful rhythms. Visitors were always welcomed with warmth, humor and plentiful conversation.
Those who knew Carol will remember her not only for her talents but for the way she lived—with determined heart and purpose. She showed love not through grand gestures but through thoughtful actions: a mended hem here, a home-cooked meal there—each one a testament to her enduring care.
Her legacy lives on in the beauty she created, the growth of love in those she kept close and the quiet lessons she imparted through example rather than words.
