Carole Parker (Troilo), 79, of Cincinnati, Ohio, formerly of Columbus and a graduate of Groveport Madison High School, passed away on January 12, 2026, surrounded by family.
As a child, she loved playing on the Wright family farm. She also had a lifelong passion for cooking and sharing good food. Carole built a successful career in banking, business, and healthcare, constantly reinventing herself, and was known for her sharp business skills and determined “get it done” approach. Over the years, she was best known for hosting fun gatherings, sharing delicious food, creating silly songs for her grandchildren, and caring for many in her family.
Carole is survived by her daughters, Lisa Wharton and Amanda (Jeff) Holbrook; her beloved grandchildren, Jane and Alexander; and her siblings, Connie Boylan, Steven Troilo, and Mark Troilo. She was preceded in death by her parents, Norma and Leonard Troilo.
She will be remembered for her quick wit, sense of humor, generous spirit, resilience, great stories, and for being a devoted “Nana” to her grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on January 20, 2026, at Montgomery Community Church in Cincinnati, Ohio. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the ASPCA (aspca.org), honoring Carole’s love of animals, or to FARE (foodallergy.org), supporting her granddaughter.
