Carolyn Byron, 79, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 26, 2026, surrounded by family. Born and raised in Chicago, Carolyn spent more than 30 years living in Addison before making her home in Aurora, where she resided at the time of her passing.
Carolyn was a loving and devoted mother to her son, Craig Byron; a cherished sister to her twin, Marilyn Byron; and a beloved sister to Christine Daley. She was a fond aunt, great-aunt, and great-great-aunt to many nieces and nephews, all of whom adored her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Marilyn Byron (née Lindahl) and Allen Byron, and by her brothers, Robert Byron, George Byron, Donald Byron, and David Byron.
Carolyn was loyal and beloved by many, known for her generous heart and her unwavering love for animals. Whether caring for family, friends, or four-legged companions, she gave freely of herself and found joy in making others feel safe and loved. She will forever be cherished for her warmth and caring spirit.
She found happiness in life's simple pleasures: an ice-cold Pepsi, a good double bacon cheeseburger, a delicious piece of pumpkin pie, and good company to share them with. Her legacy of love lives on through her family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to have known her.
She will be laid to rest through private cremation, with a family memorial to celebrate her life.
