Carolyn Mary McCoy White
November 19, 1963 - February 2, 2026
The family of Carolyn White is heartbroken to announce her passing on February 2, 2026 after a
long battle with COPD.
Carolyn, of Great Cacapon WV and formerly of Norwalk CT, was born to Josephine DiPisa and
Carmelo Tomasello in Norwalk CT. She was raised in Colonial Village and attended Norwalk
Public Schools and Brian McMahon High School. She worked for Burndy Corp as a Mail Clerk
and for White's Home Improvement.
Carolyn was predeceased by her parents and her sister Deborah. She is survived by her husband
of 37 years, Robert M White Jr of Great Cacapon WV, formerly of Norwalk CT, her children
Christina Bernini, Nicole McCoy (Christian Ouellette), Kevin White and grandchildren Anthony,
James, Careonna, Carmella, Patricia, Gregory, Gauge, Christian Jr and Ethan. She is also
survived by her siblings, Donald (Amy), John, Linda and Scott (Arlene), many uncles, cousins,
nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephew and friends.
Carolyn lived her life loving her husband, children and grandchildren fiercely and
unconditionally with her whole heart. They were her world; she did everything she could for
every one of them and she was immensely proud of them. She loved her family and friends with
that same passion. Oh, and you can't forget about the dogs, Layla, Cooper and Marley, they
were everything to her too. She enjoyed running her husband's business for many years and
then retiring to care for her grandchildren. Carolyn and Rob eventually bought an RV and
traveled for a little until they found what they called home for the last several years in WV on top
of a beautiful mountainside overlooking a valley where they enjoyed raising chickens and
tending to their gardens. And then came Zoey, the kitten who brought her joy. She enjoyed
entertaining, traveling when she was able, loved the holiday's and couldn't wait to clean up from
Thanksgiving dinner to put up the Christmas tree. An Easter didn't go by without a family photo
of all her children and grandchildren. Carolyn kept an immaculate home and was always
updating or re-arranging furniture including the kitchen. Her home was filled with love,
laughter, pictures and butterflies, of course.
Carolyn bravely fought for many years, with her husband alongside her, until the very end.
Please share your memories, funny stories and/or photos here for her family to see, they will be
appreciated.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 14th, 2026 at Cornerstone Community
Church, 718 West Avenue, Norwalk CT at 11am.
