Carroll Edward Watts, beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and great-great grandfather passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family on December 27, 2025. Carroll was born in Brookhaven, MS on July 27, 1934 to Claude Watts and Katie Martin Watts.
He met the love of his life, Mamie Guy, in elementary school and they married in 1952. Together, they built a life rooted in love, commitment and family, which lasted over 73 years.
Carroll received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Oklahoma and was employed by the Gulf Oil Corp. He began his career in Baton Rouge, LA, transferring to Abilene TX, Arlington TX and Decatur GA. While there he helped establish the Neighborhood Playhouse community theater and having a fine tenor voice, appeared on that stage in many plays and musicals. After retiring to Texas, he continued acting and singing on stages in the Fort Worth area.
He enjoyed traveling all over the world with his family, cruising, playing games, and sharing his wonderful sense of humor.
Carroll was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and two sisters. He is survived by his wife Mamie, his children, Rene' Garrett and husband Sonny of Granbury TX, Lisa Watts of Riverview FL, and Gary Watts of Arlington TX.
He dearly loved his grandchildren: Randy Comeaux and husband John, Mica Campbell and husband Alex, Matthew Watts and wife Charya, his six great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Carroll will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all those who were blessed to know him.
