Cassie Ryan Wells, age 46, passed away on March 17, 2026, in Fairvue, TN. Born on July 21, 1979, Cassie was a beacon of love and dedication, cherished by all who knew her.
Cassie pursued higher education at the University of Memphis and the University of Louisville, Kentucky, which equipped her for a distinguished career. She served as the Executive Director of Genesis Learning Centers in Nashville, Tennessee, Her professional life was marked by a compassionate commitment to the welfare of others, especially in supporting individuals with disabilities.
A devout member of Our Lady of the Lake in Hendersonville, Tennessee, Cassie's faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and interactions.
Her personal life was filled with joy and loving relationships. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Dave Wells, and a loving sister to Courtney Lauren Staples. Cassie is survived by her husband David Wells mother Theresa Koch, stepfather Jerry, father Rick Staples, stepmother Barbara, and her in-laws, Bob and Kandy Wells. Her grandparents, Edward and Catherine Sapp, and Charles and June Staples, preceded her in death.
Cassie's hobbies included boating with friends and family, attending Titans games, and traveling the world. Known for her generous hospitality, she loved hosting gatherings at her home, making everyone feel welcomed and cherished.
A celebration of life service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Genesis Learning Center or the International Rett Syndrome Foundation (IRSF) in honor of Courtney Staples, reflecting Cassie's lifelong commitment to supporting meaningful causes.
