Born in Columbus, Ohio, Catherine "Cathy" Morris Brodman of Mesa, Arizona was called home on November 8, 2025. She leaves behind her husband Randy Brodman, children, Vanessa and Trisha Morris, grandchildren Geovanni Morris and Sylus Carpenter, father, Darryl Morris and siblings, Jeanne and Julie Vega and John Morris. Cathy was predeceased by her mother Florence Morris.
Cathy loved to cook and enjoyed experimenting with new recipes and techniques until she arrived at a perfect combination of ingredients and flavors, creating many mouth-watering dishes for get-togethers with friends, family, co-workers and congregants. She was also a blue-ribbon confectioner of irresistible candies and baker of aromatic breads, delicious cookies and pies, and decadent cakes.
Cathy believed in order and extended that philosophy to each part of her life, from her meticulously kept house to the way she planned family gatherings down to the smallest detail. Cathy was the one that friends called when they needed help sorting through a project or planning an event. After raising her children, Cathy successfully transitioned these skills into a professional career as a coordinator for St. Josheph's Hospital.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the hospice care team for their compassion and support during Cathy's final days. Keeping with Catherine's wishes, her remains will be donated to Science Care in lieu of a memorial service.
