Catherine Woods

Catherine C. Woods (née Schreiner), 90, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2026, at her home in Pasadena, Maryland. Born on March 22, 1935, in Baltimore, Maryland, Catherine lived a long and full life marked by her devotion to family and faith.

Catherine was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on June 22, 1985, a commitment that brought her great comfort and spiritual fulfillment throughout her life. Her faith was a cornerstone of her identity and guided her actions and relationships with those around her.

She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, including her love for word searches—a pastime that reflected her sharp mind and patience. Catherine also cherished the companionship of Chloe, her beloved dog, who brought warmth and happiness to her days.

Catherine is survived by her children: K. Donna Woods (Sean McGuire), J. Randall Woods (Dwayne Harrison), and Pamela J. Woods; her grandson William J. Powell (Emma Beaven) and great-granddaughter Annabel L. Powell. She is also survived by her sister Dorothy A. Bush (Richard Bush) and brother Robert L. Schreiner. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, Albert L. Woods; her daughter Merry K. Woods; and her brothers Thomas B. Schreiner and Charles E. Schreiner.

A Memorial Service is being planned. Her ashes will be interred at Glen Haven Memorial Park in Glen Burnie, Maryland.
