Cathy Louise Humma

Cathy L Humma, fell asleep in death on February 23, 2026, at the age of 72 at Wellspan Ephrata Hospital. The family is grateful for the excellent care and kindness of the entire staff. Cathy succumbed after a long fight with leukemia. She always had a positive attitude and bounced back multiple times in spite of her medical prognosis. Even very close to her death she was still fighting and wanting to beat it yet again.

Born in Reading, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ronald and Marian (Werner) Humma of Berks County. She graduated from Governor Mifflin High School class of 1971.

Cathy was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on May 23, 1970. She is most recently a member of the Ephrata Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Cathy's main focus in life was helping people learn about God's Kingdom as our only trustworthy secure future. The ministry was her full time vocation for 20 years. To support her volunteer ministry she worked at many different businesses including CNA, Horrigan Finance, American Equipment Leasing, Dermatology Associates of Lancaster and Dermatology Physicians of Lancaster retiring in 2023. Wherever Cathy worked she was known as a very reliable, honest and hardworking person. She lived by faith, hope and an unwavering loyalty to her Bible trained conscience.

Cathy loved life and spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed good food, traveling, shopping and nature including all animals. She traveled as an International Delegate of Jehovah's Witnesses to Hawaii, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Peru, Sri Lanka and Thailand. She also traveled all over the US and Canada with her family enjoying the beauty of creation.

Cathy is survived by her brother Jeb, husband of Beth, Hamburg and sister Lisa of Hamburg.

Friends and family are welcome to attend a memorial service to be held at the Fruitville Pike Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 921 Fruitville Pike, Lititz, PA 17543, on Saturday, March 21 st at 2 pm. The service will be interpreted in ASL. The memorial will also be available via Zoom:
