Charles Francis "Chuck" Brill, Sr., 72, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2026, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Born on January 9, 1954, in Lower Merion, Chuck spent his life rooted in Pennsylvania, surrounded by family, friends, and a community he truly cared about.

Chuck was the son of the late James George Brill and Margaret Mary Pender. He grew up alongside his brother James (Carol) and sister Margaret (Rob), relationships that remained meaningful throughout his life.

Above all else, Chuck was devoted to his family. He was a loving father to Charles Jr. (Jessica), Alison, and David (Ciera), and a proud grandfather—known affectionately as "Pop Pop"—to seven grandchildren. Spending time with them sharing a meal, having a conversation over coffee, or simply being present brought him his greatest joy.

Chuck appreciated life's simple pleasures. He enjoyed a strong cup of hot coffee, cooking for the people he loved, and getting outdoors. Camping trips were a favorite, especially evenings spent around a campfire telling stories. Chuck had a natural gift for storytelling—sometimes humorous, sometimes reflective—but always shared with warmth and an easy smile.

For more than 30 years, Chuck dedicated his time and heart to the Boy Scouts of America as a leader and volunteer. Scouting was more than a commitment; it was a reflection of his values. He believed in mentoring young people, teaching responsibility, and leading by example. He quietly made a difference in many lives simply by showing up and caring.

Even as health challenges became more frequent over the past few years, Chuck remained positive and engaged. He continued participating in scouting activities and enjoying the things he loved, inspiring those around him with his resilience and steady outlook.

Chuck will be remembered for his kindness, his consistency, and the genuine care he showed others. His laughter, stories, and "Dad jokes," will be deeply missed, but his presence will continue to be felt by all who knew him.

Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing on January 31, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Wackerman Funeral Home, 8060 Verree Road, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Chuck's memory to Boy Scouts of America Troop 290, c/o Saint Cecilia Church, 535 Rhawn Street, Philadelphia, PA 19111.
