Charles Dan Bickelhaupt, 77, passed away on November 17, 2025, in Findlay, Ohio. Born on September 29, 1948, in Fremont, Ohio, Charles lived a full and vibrant life marked by dedication to his work, devotion to his family, and a spirited love for the things that brought him joy.
he married Diane L Leisenring (Huffman) on June 23, 2001 and she survives.
A proud graduate of Lakota High School, Charles went on to build a long and respected career as a maintenance supervisor at Ford. His strong work ethic and commitment to excellence earned him the respect of colleagues throughout his years of service.
Charles was known for his big personality and even bigger heart. He had an unwavering willingness to help those around him and was always ready to lend a hand or share a laugh. His generosity and warmth left lasting impressions on all who knew him.
He found great joy in the game of golf and could often be found on the course enjoying a round with friends. A passionate supporter of Ohio State University football, Charles cheered on the Buckeyes with enthusiasm every season. He was also an active member of several fraternal organizations including the Moose Lodge, Eagles Club, and Elks Lodge—communities where he formed many lasting friendships.
Family was central to Charles's life. He is lovingly remembered by his children: daughters Daniella K and Roberta Walters; sons Daniel B., Jeffery A., and Eric P.; stepchildren Jerry L. Huffman and Jodi L. (Huffman) Moran; siblings Martha (Bickelhaupt) Bruns, Ann (Bickelhaupt) Zileberkant, Dave, and Rick; along with twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his beloved son Douglas; parents Arthur and Mary; and brothers Arthur and Larry and Stephen; grandson Daniel
Charles's legacy lives on through the many lives he touched with his kindness, humor, and unwavering support. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him. A Celebration of Life will be held on December 1, 2025, from 02:00 PM to 06:00 PM at Findlay Moose Lodge 1028 w Maincross st #2421. Food will be provided by the funeral committee.
