Charles Warren "Chuck" Edwards, 88, passed away on January 12, 2026, in Dover, New Hampshire. Born on February 6, 1937, in York, Maine, Chuck lived a life defined by quiet dedication—to his country, his work, and those who knew him.
From 1954 to 1957, Chuck served honorably in the United States Navy aboard the USS Arcadia out of Newport, Rhode Island. He continued his commitment to service through the Navy Reserves until 1962. Nearly four years of his enlistment were spent overseas during the Korean War, reflecting his steadfast sense of duty and patriotism.
Following his military service, Chuck embarked on a long and steady career at Davidson Rubber in Farmington, New Hampshire. Over more than three decades of hard work and loyalty to his craft, he built a legacy of perseverance and reliability that carried him into a well-earned retirement.
Chuck was known by many names—Charles or Chuck to most; Dad to some; Pop-Pop to others; and affectionately "Bonehead" among those who shared laughter with him. He found joy in life's simple pleasures: riding through town on his scooter for Moe's whoopie pies or cheering enthusiastically during ball games. His warmth and humor left lasting impressions wherever he went.
He leaves behind his daughters: Karen Patriquin and her husband Arthur of Strafford, NH; Carolee Wood and her husband Steve of Rochester, NH; and Carmen Hanscom of Dover, NH. His grandchildren include Bethanie Patriquin of Strafford; Jennifer Turcotte and her husband John of Dover; Joshua Page and Michael Todd of Milton. He also leaves a cherished great-granddaughter, Destanie Turcotte of Dover.
Chuck is also survived by his sister Janet Regan of Virginia Beach, Virginia, along with several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife Gail (Baker) Edwards; brother Ralph Edwards; sister Carol (Edwards) Norton; parents Ulysses and Thelma (Adams) Edwards; grandson Ryan Page; and son-in-law Ricky M. Hanscom.
May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
