Charles Samuel “Chuck” Hoffman, 36, of Selbyville, Delaware, passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2025, during a fishing trip on Assateague Island.

Born in York, Pa on October 7, 1988, the son of the late Emma Amelia Hoffman. Chuck was a graduate of Central York High School, Class of 2007. Chuck dedicated much of his life to serving others through his work as a volunteer firefighter. His firefighting journey began at Liberty Fire Company, Station 25 in North York, Pennsylvania, where he served with distinction for 14 years. Following the station’s closure, he continued his service for an additional three years at Goodwill Fire Company, Station 19 in York. His commitment to the fire service earned him not only the respect of his peers but also a second family within the firefighting community. Chuck was known by all who met him as the life of the room—his energy and warmth left lasting impressions wherever he went. He was a devoted husband and father, a huge fan of Penn State Football as well as Penguins Hockey and Buccaneers Football. Above all he was an avid fisherman who found peace and joy on the water every chance he could get.

Survived by Wife, Aimee Hoffman of Delaware, one wonderful 19 month-old Son, Charles Samuel Hoffman Junior (CJ), numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and members of his extended firefighting family.

Service: A memorial service will be held 1:00pm – 4:00pm Saturday October 25, 2025, at Goodwill Fire Company #1 of York Township, 2318 South Queen Street, York, Pennsylvania. Light refreshments will be provided.
