Originally from Sacramento, since infancy Charles was called Chuckie, and by the end of high school many knew him as Chuck. Chuck was a very active, fun-loving, happy child who enjoyed burning energy playing recreational soccer and baseball in his formidable and early adolescence years.  Throughout childhood, Chuckie provided no shortage of surprises and uniquely exciting moments for his grandparents who adopted him when he was an infant.  After high school, Chuckie followed his dreams and became a soldier in the United States Army.  Chuckie was extremely proud to serve his country in Korea on hazardous-duty for 20-months, as a member of the 179th Field Artillery Battalion.  After his military service, Chuckie performed various professional security service projects and ended up settling in Victorville where he purchased his first home.  Chuck developed journeyman level skills in carpentry and became a DIY specialist in his past-time, purchasing tools and becoming proficient in using them on small to large projects around the house.  Chuckie was always a helper at heart and wanted to give something back to the world; over the course of his final few years with us, Chuckie had been working hard on a plan to start a non-profit organization that focused on providing training opportunities and helping recently released military veterans gain professional carpentry skills and subsequently use them to successfully gain employment.  Furthermore, Chuckie, a life-long-learner, always took opportunities to understand more about the operation and maintenance his personal vehicles, including motorcycles- for which he had a few dirt bikes throughout his life.  He absolutely loved riding dirtbikes all over Victorville in his down time.
Chuckie was also an avid and professional video game streamer, known worldwide by over 9,000 followers on social media, who called him CJ Live.  Being a very popular streamer in his gaming genre was an ultimate achievement that Chuckie was most proud of, because he had set and attained a multitude of personal goals and accomplishments over the course of gaining notoriety with 9,000 followers, who enthusiastically followed him.  Finally, Chuckie was most fond of, as well as known for, aside from his mostly pleasant energy, his spirited philosophical debates and discussions about food, politics, and most of all the meaning of life.
Chuckie is survived by his grandmother (aka as mother), Ruth L. Murray, and 4 siblings including Paris, Katrell, Aysiah, and Victoria.  Chuckie was preceded in death by his father Charles Johnson, mother Chrystal Murray, and beloved grandfather Dr. Arthur H. Murray Jr.  Chuckie was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by his family, and friends, namely and highly adored Zoey Lenae Murray and Ms. Daisy Perez.
A succinct internment ceremony, including, military honors, will be held Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at 1:30 pm.  Location is Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, CA 92518.
