Charles Vincent Ferro, also known as "Vinny", age 91, of Ponte Vedra, FL passed away on December 13, 2025 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on March 7th, 1934 in Manhattan, NY to Charles Ferro and Loretta Grimshaw.

Throughout his life, Vinny was known for his strength, loyalty, and unwavering dedication to his family. Living by his motto, "family first," he took great pride in showing up for those he loved and in being the steady head of his household. Vinny was deeply supportive and dependable, and he will be remembered most for the sense of security, love, and togetherness he brought to his family.

Vinny proudly served in the United States Army from April 1954 to April 1956. A lifelong Catholic, his faith was a guiding force in his life, and he leaves behind a lasting legacy of faith passed down through the generations of his family. Vinny was also a devoted New York Giants fan; in his prime, he traveled to New York from Florida for every home game to cheer on his Giants. For him, football was never just about the game; it was a cherished ritual that brought his family together, creating memories filled with tradition, laughter, and love.

Vinny was also known for his motto, "The Ferros never surrender," a phrase that became a guiding principle for his family. It embodied his belief in perseverance, determination, and it's a legacy of resilience that his loved ones continue to carry forward.

He was preceded in death by his mother Loretta Grimshaw, his father Charles Ferro, his sister Louise Kavanaugh. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Jean Ferro; his children, Loretta (Kathy), Charles (Laurie), James; his grandchildren, Stephanie Ribeiro (Gui), Jillian Chaney (Gage), Kayla and CJ; and his great-grandchildren, Luca, Easton, Sterling, and Beckett.

A funeral will be held on Saturday December 27th at 11AM at St. John Paul II Catholic Church (127 Stone Mason Way, Ponte Vedra, FL 32081).
