Belated Obituary – Charles J. Vojacek, Sr.
For a long time, the passing of my father, Charles J. Vojacek, Sr., was a quiet matter, but it is time to honor his life publicly. Born January 22, 1928, Charles passed away on February 22, 2025. This notice is shared belatedly as we reflect on his life and the impact he had on those who knew and loved him.

Charles was preceded in death by his beloved wife of sixty-nine years, Mary (Valeri) Vojacek, with whom he now rests in eternal peace.

He is survived by his son, Ronald C. Vojacek (Cher); grandchildren: Keith Vojacek (Callie), Rachel Vojacek Collier (Alex), and Nikki Massey (Michael, Sr.); and great-grandson Michael, Jr. He is also survived by three additional children, seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Charles will be remembered as a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who, especially in his earlier years, found his greatest joy in spending time with his family. As his son, I remember him cheering me on at my hockey games—his voice always easy to pick out from the stands. I remember working alongside him on a home that needed plenty of care, learning the value of hard work side by side.

He shared a special bond with his wife Mary through their love of buying and selling antiques and the life they built together over sixty-nine years of marriage. A man of strong work ethic, he took pride in providing for his family and putting their needs before his own.

Charles was laid to rest at All Saints Cemetery, where he joins Mary in eternal life. The family will celebrate his life privately.
