WARREN — Charles E. Zaugg, 79, passed away surrounded by his loving family, early Sunday morning, December 14th 2025, at his residence.
"Chuckie," as he was affectionately known, was born February 28, 1946, in Warren, a son of Charles C. and Marie M. Zaugg.
He was employed as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Servicefor 35 years, prior to retiring. Charles was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War.
He married the former Betty Wyant on Jan. 29 2021. Charles and Betty, shared 4 years of marriage and many happy memories together. She survives him.
Charles enjoyed watching nascar and the Cleveland Guardians. He was also a collector of Military artifacts and an avid hunter.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two step children, Robert L. (Angela) Wyant of Leavittsburg and Michelle (Mary) Wyant of Warren. He also leaves behind a brother, Franklin Zaugg of Leavittsburg; four grandchildren, Jason D. ( Esther )Zaugg II, Jamie J. Zaugg, Jessica (Eric) Hamilton and Jeffrey Zaugg.
He was preceded In death by his parents, and a brother, William Zaugg and son Charles Zaugg.
Private funeral services will be held on Thursday December 18th, 2025 at 10:00 a.m.
There will be no interment, as Charles wished to be cremated.
