Charlotte E. (Henderson) Digiacomo, age 84, most recently of Port St. Lucie, Fla., died peacefully, Friday, April 3, 2026 at the Lynch Pavilion Inpatient Unit in Ft. Pierce, Fla., surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Fort Knox, Ky., to the late Marion F. (O'Brien) and Rupert C. Henderson, Lt. Colonel, Retired. She was raised and educated across various United States military bases, including four years in Germany and many years in Augusta, Ga. She graduated from Winter Park High School in Fla., Class of 1960. She lived in Florida for the past year, previously in Quincy for over fifty years.

Charlotte was a registered nurse. She graduated from the Orange Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1963. She was then commissioned into the Army Nurse Corps, and worked at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. She later lived in Staunton, Va. for five years where she would meet her husband. While living in Virginia, she worked at The King's Daughters Hospital. Here along with others, she helped start the hospital's Cardiology Intensive Care Unit.

She was a member of the Quincy Park and Recreation Board for fourteen years, serving as the first female chair of the board. She was also a longstanding devoted parishioner of St. Joseph's Parish in Quincy Point, being active in the sodality and as a Eucharistic minister.

Most of all, Charlotte was a homemaker who was devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren, actively supporting their many activities and accomplishments.

Beloved wife for forty-seven years of the late Anthony V. Digiacomo.

Devoted mother of Vincent A. Digiacomo and his wife Yvonne of Holbrook, Christopher P. Digiacomo and his wife Mirela of Tampa, Fla., and John M. Digiacomo and his wife Jennifer of Medway.

Loving grandmother of Brian Digiacomo and Kaitlyn Digiacomo; Anthony Digiacomo, Dylan Digiacomo, and Nathan Digiacomo; Julianne Digiacomo and Paige Digiacomo.

Cherished great grandmother of Tristan.

Dear sister of the late Helen Thompson and her late twin sister Kledus George.

Charlotte is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visiting Hours will be held at the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy, on Friday, April 10, from 4 - 7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Saint Joseph's Church, 550 Washington Street, Quincy, on Saturday, April 11, at 10 a.m. Interment, with military honors, to follow at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
