Taking her last breath on Earth and her first in Heaven, Cheryl Crone stepped into eternity on Monday, December 29, 2025.
Born to Harold & Marge Lindemulder in post-war Southern California, Cheryl spent her childhood in Compton surrounded by extended family and focused on church service. She graduated from Los Angeles Lutheran High School and worked at the Compton Drive-In theater.
Cheryl lived in Lakewood for over 40 years, was married and divorced, and raised three children while working as a Registered Nurse in several different local Emergency Rooms, having graduated from Long Beach City College and the Los Angeles County - USC School of Nursing.
She cared so well for so many people that she would be stopped at the Lakewood Mall by grateful patients with points and shouts of, "You're my nurse!"
She will be remembered for her nurturing attention to people, animals and even plants.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Sandra Lindemulder and her brother Wesley Lindemulder. She is survived and will be lovingly missed by her three children: John Crone of La Mirada, Heather Crone of Humboldt County, and Holly (Johnny) Cox of Las Vegas, along with several cousins, neighbors and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the animal welfare charity of your choice.
