She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Musial Frey.
Cheryl is survived by her beloved sons, Scott McEachron of Elizabethtown, PA, and Russell Frank Bowers Jr. and Kit Chan of Roslindale, Massachusetts, who were the center of her life and a constant source of pride. She is also survived by her sister, Karen Dykstra of Wisconsin, her brother, Ricky Nichols of Massachusetts, and her best friend in the world and blood sister, Barbara Manta of Madrid, Spain, along with extended family and friends. She is also lovingly remembered by her beloved Airedale Terrier, Teddy, to whom she dedicated much of her time and who was her constant companion.
Cheryl worked for many years at Digital Equipment Corporation in Marlboro, Massachusetts, where her career allowed her to travel extensively throughout Europe—experiences that deeply shaped her worldview and appreciation for culture and people.
She served her community as a Justice of the Peace, performing many marriage ceremonies and considering it an honor to take part in such meaningful moments in the lives of others.
A lover of the natural world, Cheryl found great joy in raising monarch butterflies, a pursuit that reflected her patience, care, and quiet sense of wonder. She also pursued the Japanese art of floral design, earning an Intermediate Certificate in the art of Ikebana, through which she expressed creativity, balance, and respect for nature.
Cheryl will be remembered for her independence, curiosity, and the thoughtful way she moved through the world. Her legacy lives on through her family, her faithful companion, and all those whose lives she touched.
There will be no funeral service.
