Send Flowers
Christina Baldwin O'Meara, born April 7, 1953, in Annapolis, MD embarked on her final adventure on January 4th, 2026. Leaving behind the physical baggage that comes with 6 years of cancer, she departed from her home, with her husband, five children, and all five grandchildren there to see her off on one last journey.

Chris, Chrissy, or Coco, was a bright, energetic, kind, and generous force in the lives of all who knew her. Her everpresent smile and positive energy would enliven any occasion- and she was unstoppable in bringing that spirit to anyone she could.

Chris's memory lives on through her mother, Peggy Baldwin, her husband Brian, her children Liam, Allison, Alexis, Keenan, and Conor and their partners Emily, Andy, Max, Meg, and Amy, as well as her cherished grandchildren Finn, Cormac, Zoe, Maeve, and Ada. She will be missed deeply by her siblings Tommy, Tricia, Jay and Mike, and by the multitudes and friends and family that felt the warmth of her life. Christina was predeceased by her father Thomas Baldwin.

Growing up, Chris was a bright light- beautiful, intelligent, and kind. Even in the midst of a big family, she stood out for the joy she brought with her. At St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia, she met Brian, the love of her life, they married, and settled in Anne Arundel County. In starting a family she maybe got more than she bargained for: five children in seven years, a tornado of little people that she loved and nurtured through those chaotic and wonderful early years.

Chris somehow found the energy to care for five children while running her own commercial real estate business, O'Meara Properties, and to serve on many boards including AAMC, Sandy Spring Bank, Creating Communities, and Archbishop Spalding HS, all while building a vibrant and loving home along the way. It didn't matter how hard it was, if it enriched her children's lives, Chris made it happen. She had a gift for turning a fleeting interest into a full immersion experience, and geography was never a serious obstacle.

In travelling the world, Chris brought her generous spirit across the globe with her. Her passport, a kaleidoscope of stamps, stickers, and creases, is as good a portrait as any for Chris as she truly was: Coco the explorer. She set foot on all seven continents, sailed all seven seas, summited so many mountains, and always brought something home to share. She proceeded to instill her keen nose for adventure in her children and grandchildren, whom in recent years she took to see South America, Asia, the Middle East, Antarctica, and Europe.

On charity missions, she warmed hearts wherever she ventured, from Bhutan, to Lesotho, to Cambodia, to Honduras, and a million other places in between. Incredibly, she was volunteering in West Africa just weeks before her latest passage.

Nonetheless, it is at home where she made the biggest impact and will be missed the most. The absence of the joyful spirit we all loved so well is noticeable, and we'd do well to fill the void with smiles, laughs, and the conversations Coco would love to have.

Memorial Services will be held at St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Annapolis on January 15th, at 10:30am. A celebratory reception to follow next door at the Atreeum. Splashes of color (especially Teal) are encouraged and appreciated. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kaleidoscope Child Foundation.
