Christine Albertson

Christine "Chris" Albertson, a cherished mother, sister, grandmother, and friend passed away on March 12, 2026, with her children by her side, after a brave battle with breast cancer. Born on December 17, 1960, in New Britain Connecticut, Chris was a beacon of love and friendship to all who knew her. Her final days were spent surrounded by her family.

The youngest of five, Christine grew up in a lively household and graduated from East Hartford High School 1979 where she was known for her vibrant spirit and kind heart. Chris spent many years in a career she loved as a bookkeeper, made lots of friends working at Shaws, and eventually life led her to find her true calling nurturing young minds at a local daycare.

A devout Christian, Chris lived her faith through her actions and the love she shared with others. She found strength and comfort in her belief, and it was this faith that guided her through life's challenges and joys.

Christine's greatest joy came from being a devoted mother to her children David and Nicole and her daughter-in-law Samantha. More recently she was ecstatic to be "Gramma" to baby Evelyn. She embraced every moment with her kids, from big family parties to the quiet times just between them. She poured her heart into creating a warm loving environment for her kids to thrive.

Her love for dancing and music was contagious, and Chrissy could often be found at family events leading her nieces and nephews onto the dance floor. The bonds she forged with her loved ones were unbreakable and the memories created playing games or just gathering around a table during family nights, holidays, and everyday moments will be cherished forever. Chris believed that every occasion was worth celebrating and did so with an enthusiasm that was uniquely hers.

As we remember Chris, we celebrate a life lived to the fullest. She taught us to embrace each day with joy, to dance through our troubles, and to love without reservation. Christine's legacy is one of love, resilience, humor, and friendship. She will be missed deeply, but her spirit will continue to inspire all who were fortunate to know her. Christine's journey on Earth has ended, but we will continue to tell her story for generations.

Surviving are her two children David Albertson, Nicole Digby-Albertson, Daughter-in-law Samantha Digby, and granddaughter Evelyn; her beloved siblings Danny Clauson and his wife Michelle, Florence Ayotte and her husband Jim, Cliff Clauson and his wife Liz; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Chris was preceded in death by her father Carl Clauson, her mother Virginia Stimpson, her Uncle Joe Pokropinski, sister Linda Acosta, great-nephew Jamie Acosta Jr., and the father of her children David Albertson.

Services will be held at All Faith Memorial Chapel, 90 John Fitch Boulevard, South Windsor CT on Saturday March 21, 2026, from 5:00-7:00 PM. Please bring your smiles, stories, and memories as we celebrate Christine's life.
