Christine Margaret Hart (Fischer) went home to be with her Savior on Sunday, January 11, 2026. She was born in NYC on December 28, 1934. As a child she played the cello in the All-City Youth Symphony in Carnegie Hall, a treasured skill that she would deploy in the Venice Symphony until caring for her aging mother demanded her full attention. A graduate of Wheaton College and Eastern Seminary, she taught at Huntington Christian School in New York and a private school in Florida. She was a Realtor and Property Manager in Englewood and Venice for many years, first with the James Thompson Agency, Real Estate Services of Englewood, and finally with Coldwell Banker. Compelled by her love for Jesus and children, she served at Northport Baptist Church in Long Island New York and at Venice Bible Church in Florida for many years, introducing countless children to a vibrant faith in God and love for His Word through creative and dynamic experiences every Sunday.

She continued deepening her own walk with Jesus by attending Venice Presbyterian Church where she served as a Stephen's Minister and on the Missions Team, as well as taking part in their diverse opportunities for personal growth and development. Having a compassionate heart, she served as a volunteer at the Venice Hospital for many years, welcoming those who were hurting with a warmth and kindness that was part of their healing. She was a beautiful picture of a faithful disciple of Jesus, always learning, always serving, always trusting Him through all of life.

Christine was the proud mother of five sons and their wives "daughter-in-loves", James & Linda, John & Sheri, Daniel & Terri, David & Bridgett, Rich & Barbie. She was even more proud of her many grandchildren, Jordan, Stephen, Samantha, Seth, Ben, Madison, Shelby, Austin, Grayson, Charlie, Destiny, Savannah, Sophie, & Jackson. Her heart was also captivated by her great grandchildren Maverick, Clay, Emma, Oakley, Lincoln, & Rosie. Anyone who knew her, lived near her, worked alongside her, served with her, or had any reason to interact with her, had a chance to catch a glimpse of what God is like: Loving, Cheerful, Kind, Encouraging, Supportive, Forgiving, Hopeful, Humble, Life-Giving, and Generous. Her life was deeply marked by her faithful God, and in turn her life marked those lives around her.

Christine was looking forward to being reunited with her parents, Ernest & Katie Fischer, and her son Stephen who passed shortly after birth. No stranger to hardship, she always displayed a radiant smile with sparkling blue eyes, reflecting the glory of the One in whom she entrusted herself for everything in this life, and the life to come. Her heart's desire is that all would join her by entrusting themselves to that same, faithful Savior, Jesus.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Venice Presbyterian Church 825 Rialto in Venice on January 31st at 1:30 pm. IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, those who desire to honor her can make donations to the music ministry at Venice Presbyterian or to the Venice Symphony, both of which lifted her spirits and filled her soul with joy.
