It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Christine (Chris) T. LeMere, who passed away on November 29, 2025, surrounded by loved ones after a long and courageous fight with cancer. Chris is predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Robert (Bob) LeMere; her father, John Tierney; her mother, Grace Butkie Tierney; her brothers, John (Jack), Brian, and Tom; and her niece, Linda Tierney Otero.
Chris was born in the Bronx, NY, and raised in Millerton, NY, where she met her high school sweetheart and lifelong partner, Bob LeMere. Chris and Bob moved to Torrington, CT, to raise their two daughters, Kim and Denise. Chris showed unwavering commitment to her friends, family, and her 35-year-long career with Drs. Sederquist, Coutant, and Nebor. Not only was she a devoted mother, but also a cherished grandmother to her granddaughter, Loren, with whom she shared endless love, laughter, and memories. Their bond was one of her greatest joys.
Following her retirement in 2012, Chris and Bob moved to Herons Glen in North Fort Myers, Florida. There, Chris enjoyed participating in many community activities, such as golf, social clubs, volunteering, fundraising, and spending time with friends. Not only did she demonstrate loyalty in her activities, but also in her friendships and in her faith. She was a kind, loyal, and dedicated friend whose warmth touched everyone she met. She will be deeply missed by all.
Left to cherish Chris’s memory are her daughters, Kimberly and Denise LeMere; her granddaughter, Loren Mossey; her sisters-in-law, Gina and Barbara Tierney; and her nieces and nephews—Susan, Maureen, Kevin, and their families. Chris’s love, laughter, and friendship touched countless lives, creating memories that will be cherished for years to come. The warmth she shared continues to inspire everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
A private burial will be held at a later date. At the request of the family, please consider memorial donations in Chris’s name to Florida Cancer, which provided remarkable care throughout her cancer journey.
