Christine Shook, 74 passed away on December 15, 2025 in Crossville, TN while visiting family. Born on September 30, 1951 in Hancock, MI, Christine dedicated her life to aiding those in need, both through her personal endeavors and professional commitments in the medical field. Christine was a beacon of support and advocacy, working various roles from a Medical Aide and Union Representative at Community Hospital in Battle Creek, MI, to an Administrative Assistant in Care Management at the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, AZ. Her career was marked by a steadfast dedication to helping others, often going above and beyond to ensure the well-being of both patients and colleagues. She graduated from Harper Creek High School in 1969 and furthered her education at Kellogg Community College, which underpinned her lifelong commitment to caregiving and community service. Known for her spirited personality, Christine was a crusader for the underdog, always ready to support those who could not stand up for themselves. Her hobbies included reading, art, cooking - particularly Lebanese dishes, swimming and playing trivia. She was also an active member of the DOLL's social group in Taylors, SC, where she enjoyed connecting with friends and engaging in community activities. Christine leaves behind a loving family, including siblings' Cecilia (Tina) Battenfield of Owasso, OK; Brenda Aitken (John) of Crossville, TN: Rose Heirman (Alex) of Prescott, AZ; Mary Walter Russell (Rick) of Marshall, MI and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert A. and Cecilia M. Walter, and her brother, Robert J. Walter. A Celebration of Life will be held on February 6th in Taylors, SC; March 14th in Phoenix, AZ and summer 2026 in Copper Harbor, MI where friends and family will gather to honor her memory and legacy. Christine's life was a testament to the impact one individual can have on the lives of many and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
