Christopher J Cooke

Christopher J. Cooke, age 60, went to be with The Lord peacefully with his fiancée by his side at home on April 8, 2026.

Christopher is survived by his fiancée, Julie Gardner, her daughter Alexius Kasmier, his beloved friends in Christ, Pastor RJ Synder, Anna Synder, Alex Bassallo and his family, Craig Fox, Andy Waite, His entire church family and friends.

Christopher had many passions from football, science, gardening to his love of preserving the art of turning sap into the "liquid gold" of maple syrup.

His passion for learning surpassed everything else. That passion for learning led him to a deeper knowledge and love for The Lord. He regularly attended First Baptist Church of Berlin, where he served God and others, forming many friendships. Christopher's love of knowledge also led him to join a men's ministry at church. He would come home from these nights full of passion for the word and renewed strength in The Lord. I believe Christopher challenged us all to dig deeper into our faith. Christopher had a way of touching each person he encountered.

Christopher's work ethic was also a testimony to just what a wonderful man he was. From his work in mechanics, managing a ski mountain to the challenge of tree work, he always worked hard and put his heart and soul into each position, touching others along the way.

Christopher always had time to help others, sometimes dropping everything to lend a hand or an ear. Further showing his love for others and The Lord.

A Celebrating of Life will be held at First Baptist Church of Berlin, 15 N Main St. Berlin, NY 12022 on Saturday May 2, 2026, at 10 am. Light refreshments to follow service
