Clarence B Suber, Jr

1940 - 2025

Clarence B. Suber, Jr, was born in Detroit, Michigan to Clarence Suber Sr. and Inez Suber. After completing College with his Bachelor, and master's in public administration, Clarence served 20 years in the US Air Force. He retired as a Major and settled in Fort Worth, TX, where he worked for the US Postal System for 21 years before retiring.

Clarence married Barbara Ann Berry in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands in 1974, and together, raised 4 children- Jason, Candace, Ian, and Colette. They celebrated 50 blessed years together before the Lord called for him.

He was predeceased by his parents, Clarence B. Suber Sr. and Inez Suber; Brother Malcom Suber; and sister Donna Suber.

Those left to cherish his legacy are his wife Barbara (Berry); Sons Jason Suber and Ian Suber (Josta); daughters, Candace Garland (Trey) and Colette Martin (Erik); grandchildren, Zuri, Miles, Emerie, Jalen, Ella Rae, and Seph Apollon; sister Patricia Suber; Sisters-in-law Alicia Suber, Beverly Chongasing and Lorelli Imbroglia; nephews, Daniel Suber and Gregory Mitchell, and nieces, Keya Garner, Kacy Chongasing, and Keli Gabriel; his adoring Goddaughter, Allyson Shepherd Robles. He also leaves behind his mother-in-law, Clely Berry, who loved him like the son she never had.

Clarence was a devoted member of Great Commission Baptist Church in Fort Worth. His love for his church was evident in the way he showed up—faithfully, every week, without fail. He participated wholeheartedly in Bible study, always eager to learn and grow in his walk with God. Even during his time in the hospital, Clarence requested that his Bible study lessons be brought to him so he could stay connected to the Word and keep up with his studies. He was a man of deep and steady faith, and he carried that faith with him throughout his entire life. His commitment to God, to learning, and to living out his beliefs was a defining part of who he was.

Clarence was one of a kind. Admired and loved by everyone he ever met. He never missed an opportunity to brag about his kids' success. During his Golden Years, Clarence enjoyed life as a grandfather. His grandchildren would start their new school year with a phone call to "Papa" on the way to school so he could pray with them for a successful start to the new school year.
