Clark A. Denslow

1929 - 2026

Clark Augustus Denslow, 96, of Madison, CT, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2026, surrounded by family. Born in West Hartford to Clark S. Denslow and Serena Plasikowski-Denslow, Clark attended Central CT State College to obtain Industrial Arts and Teaching degrees, and there met his wife-to-be, Kathleen A. Meyer of Wilton, CT. They married soon after graduation in 1952. Clark was drafted into the army in 1952 and stationed in Fort Bliss, Texas, where he taught electronics and trained recruits on radar and anti-aircraft weaponry; he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and was honorably discharged two years later. Clark and Kathleen settled in Wilton, CT, Kathleen's hometown, where they built a home and raised five children: Clark, Maureen, William, Christopher and Kathleen. They later moved to Madison, CT and renovated a small cottage left to Clark by his mother. He was pre-deceased by his wife Kathleen in 2009. He partnered with Naomi Dempsey in 2014.
Clark was employed by various companies in several fields including mechanical and electrical engineering, research, automation, ultrasonics, sales and consulting. His expertise and innovation earned him several patents during his life.
Clark was known to all who knew him as a friendly, generous man who knew how to fix almost anything. He was always willing to help others and, ever the teacher, to show them how to repair things themselves. His other pursuits included boats, in particular sailboats, art (he was a fine sketch artist), radio control planes, inventing, and puttering in the basement.
Clark was pre-deceased by two sons, Clark A. Denslow III of Wilton, CT, and Christopher F. Denslow of Essex, CT. His surviving family members are daughters Maureen Denslow-Lavorgna and Kathleen Denslow-Decker, and son William Denslow; grandchildren Beau Denslow, Melanie Denslow, Taylor Denslow, Morgan Denslow-Santarsiero, Kyle Lavorgna, Ryan Lavorgna, Amy Lavorgna-Antioho, Emily Denslow, Jack Decker, Paige Decker; and several great grandchildren.
Always ready with a helping hand and a smile, Clark will be sorely missed by his family, friends and neighbors.
