Claudena Alice “Claudia” Boese passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at the age of 86. She was born on January 14, 1940, to Francis and Osie Williams. Claudia lived a life centered on faith, family, service, and love for others. She spent most of her life in Colorado and also treasured time in Texas. Everywhere she went, she left people feeling welcomed, remembered, and cared for.
Above all, Claudia loved Jesus Christ with all her heart. Her faith was the foundation of her life, and she never missed an opportunity to tell others about her Savior. She believed deeply that the Lord had called her to love people, serve others, and show kindness freely.
One of the great joys and accomplishments of her life was raising her seven boys: Eddie, Steven, Dudley, James, Niclus, Kevin, and Michael. She loved her children dearly, embraced their spouses as family, and deeply treasured her many grandchildren.
Claudia also worked as a beautician and enjoyed helping people look and feel their best. She had a special way of making people feel seen and important. She was always doing thoughtful things for others, including leaving special little notes around for family to find. Those small acts said so much about who she was and how deeply she loved.
She will also be remembered for the joy and warmth she brought to her family. Claudia believed every family gathering should include a group hug, and she made sure it happened. She loved playing games with her family, even though from time to time she was playfully accused of cheating at Uno. Those moments of laughter, closeness, and togetherness became part of the gift she gave to all who loved her.
One story especially reflects the heart of Claudia’s life. During a large snowstorm in Colorado on Christmas Eve in 1982, her family came upon a stranded couple who could not make it home. Claudia welcomed them into her house, fed them Christmas dinner, invited them to stay the night, and the next morning shared Christmas with them. Her family even shared their gifts with these strangers. That was who she was. She believed people should be loved, welcomed, and treated with the compassion of Christ.
Claudia came from a large family and was one of eight children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Osie; her brothers, Leon, Larry, and Troy; her sister, Geraldine; and her son, Steven. She is survived by her sons Eddie, Dudley, James, Niclus, Kevin, and Michael; their spouses; her sisters Berneta and Yvonne; her brother Gary; her many grandchildren: great grandchildren; and numerous other beloved family members and friends.
Claudia’s life was a testimony of faith in action. She loved her family well, served others generously, and pointed people to Jesus through both her words and her daily life. She will be remembered for her notes, her hugs, her laughter, her love of family, and her steady witness for the Lord.
A memorial service for the family will be held in Colorado on June 23, 2026.
