Clay Anthony Allen of Salem, Oregon, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2026, at the age of 67. He was born on March 29, 1958 to Richard and Rosanne Allen in Salem. Clay grew up in Salem with his five siblings and attended both South Salem and Sprague High School. Clay's adventurous spirit took him down many career paths including work on an offshore oil drilling rig, Red Jammer tour guide at Glacier National Park, and partnering with the late Brian Beard to build Business Radio Systems. Continuing his entrepreneurial vigor, he started Total Solutions Now Inc. and Telecom Managers Group. After retirement, he found great joy offering a helpful and friendly hand working at the local Ace Hardware store. He loved connecting with nature; from long walks through Bush Park, countless camping trips with family and lifelong friends, to cross country road trips, and international adventures with his brothers. Grooving to the music at local outdoor concert events was one of his favorite ways to unwind with friends and stay connected to the community. It was challenging at best to have a dull moment with him. His energy and excitement for fun and connection made even the smallest moments special. Clay is survived by his wife Debra, his children; Neka and Ian, and his five siblings; Gayle, Tod, Zach, Bart and Nancy. A gathering to celebrate the beautiful memories we all shared with Clay through his life is being held at the Willamette Heritage Center Spinning Room on Friday June 12th from 1pm to 4pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to... Friends of Felines and Sarcoma Foundation of America.
